On the evening of November 24, 2025, Guangdong Construction Engineering Group announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Guangdong Yuantian Engineering Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Zhensen Electric Power Design and Research Co., Ltd. had formed a consortium and officially signed the "Design and Construction General Contracting (EPC) Construction General Contract for the Shenzhen Shantou Special Cooperation Zone Lanjun Energy Storage Power Station Project" with Shenzhen Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone Lanjun Energy Storage Co., Ltd., with a total contract amount of 1.888 billion yuan. According to the announcement, the project is located in the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone of Guangdong Province and will construct an electrochemical energy storage power station with a scale of 300MW/1200MWh. It mainly consists of an energy storage system, an energy storage booster station, a transmission line, and an expansion interval on the opposite side. It is worth noting that the equivalent unit price of this contract is only 1.573 yuan/Wh, setting a new low for the unit price of large-scale energy storage power plant EPC projects in recent times. The engineering task amount undertaken by Guangdong Yuantian Engineering Co., Ltd. is 1.876 billion yuan. Guangdong Construction Engineering Group stated in the announcement that its wholly-owned subsidiary Guangdong Yuantian has undertaken the construction project with the aim of expanding the scale of its construction business and improving profitability. It is expected that the construction of the project will have a positive impact on the business performance of Guangdong Yuantian and the company. The contract stipulates a construction period of 120 days, demonstrating the current trend of efficient energy storage power station construction. The announcement also reminds that as a general contract for design and construction, the performance of this contract may be affected by force majeure factors and fluctuations in raw material prices.
