[Gansu's' Long Power Enters Shandong 'Supporting Energy Storage Project Connected] Against the backdrop of deepening the "West East Electricity Transmission" strategy and promoting green energy transformation, Gansu has made key progress in the construction of a major energy storage facility. Recently, the new energy supporting F1 energy storage power station of Huaneng Longdong Multi energy Complementary Comprehensive Energy Base located in Hudong Town, Huan County was successfully connected to the grid, marking the official entry of the supporting energy storage project of the Longdong to Shandong ± 800 kV HVDC transmission project into the operation and commissioning stage, providing strong support for the cross regional transmission of clean electricity. This project is an important component of the Longdong to Shandong ultra-high voltage project, which will start construction at the end of 2024. It plans to build two energy storage power stations, each with a capacity of 300 MW/1200 MWh. The F1 energy storage power station connected to the grid covers an area of 56.7 acres and is equipped with 60 sets of 5 MW/20 MWh energy storage units, which are connected to the booster station through 12 35 kV lines. After being fully completed and put into operation, it can consume approximately 840 million kilowatt hours of new energy annually, with a single storage capacity of up to 2.4 million kilowatt hours, and can meet the daily electricity needs of up to 480000 households.
