On December 5th, the Yuchai Vietnam factory located in Hue, Vietnam was completed and put into operation. This is Yuchai's second engine factory built overseas after the Thai factory, and it is another important milestone and strategic pivot of Yuchai's internationalization strategy, marking the fruitful results of joint cooperation between Chinese and Vietnamese enterprises in the field of high-end equipment manufacturing.

Li Changliu, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Chairman of the People's Assembly of Hue City, and head of the Hue City Congress delegation, Nguyen Dinh Trung, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Secretary of the Hue City Committee, Nguyen Youlun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam FUTA Group, Tao Yueying, General Manager of Vietnam Jinlong Automobile, Li Hanyang, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Yuchai Group, and Chairman of Yuchai Group, as well as industry guests, witnessed the historic moment of the factory's commissioning ceremony.

Yuchai Vietnam Factory is an engine factory jointly built by Yuchai and Vietnam Golden Dragon Automobile Hue Co., Ltd. It is the first professional automobile engine factory in Vietnam, and also a strategic pivot to enhance the market position and brand value of Jinlong Automobile and Yuchai in Vietnam and even the entire ASEAN market.

The factory started construction in August 2024, and Yuchai relies on decades of deep accumulation in the field of engine manufacturing to provide comprehensive solutions for the construction of the factory, including production line construction, technical services, technology licensing, and digital system construction. The construction of the factory fully demonstrates the "Chinese speed" and "Yuchai efficiency". The factory is equipped with a globally leading and highly automated engine assembly production line, mainly producing Yuchai's full range of diesel and natural gas engines, covering application fields such as commercial vehicles, engineering machinery, agricultural machinery, ships, and power generation. The first batch of products put into production by the factory includes main engine products such as K11 and Y24.

In his speech, Li Hanyang stated that the completion and operation of Yuchai Vietnam factory is the fruit of Yuchai's strategic cooperation with Jinlong Automobile, the crystallization of dream resonance, and a powerful demonstration of the deepening of economic and trade relations between China and Vietnam. In the future, both sides will use this modern factory as a link to promote a stronger strategic cooperation relationship and a more steady pace of internationalization, jointly injecting strong "Chinese chips" into Vietnam's automotive industry and promoting the global development of "Chinese technology" and "Made in China".

In recent years, Yuchai has actively responded to the initiative of jointly building the "the Belt and Road", implemented the international development strategy in depth, and comprehensively laid out the overseas market. A series of major overseas projects have been launched in Southeast Asia, Europe and other regions, and the development potential is growing stronger. From January to November this year, Yuchai's overseas engine sales increased by more than 50% year-on-year, helping Yuchai achieve multiple important business indicators to reach a historical high throughout the year.
