On December 6th, Wang Haiyu, Director of the Yangtze River Maritime Safety Administration, and He Wei, Deputy General Manager of the Wuhan Branch of China Classification Society, visited CORNEX's global headquarters for in-depth discussions on the practical application and safe development of ship electrification. CORNEX Chairman Dai Deming and President Huang Feng accompanied.    

Wang Haiyu and He Wei visited the CORNEX intelligent super factory and testing center, and gained a deep understanding of CORNEX's technological progress and product system in the field of marine power batteries. Both sides had practical exchanges on core issues such as the performance, safety standards, energy efficiency management, maintenance and guarantee, and standardization of battery swapping of large capacity box type power supplies in practical ship applications.  

The world's largest inland pure electric transport ship of 10000 tons, the Gezhouba, was successfully launched in Yichang, Hubei recently, becoming an important practical case in the exchange. The ship has a total length of 129.9 meters and a maximum load capacity of 13700 tons. It is equipped with 12 sets of containerized lithium battery power sources using Chu Energy 320Ah ship specific batteries, with a total power capacity of 24000 kWh. This provides strong evidence for the safety, reliability, and high efficiency of CORNEX's high-capacity marine battery system.

Wang Haiyu highly appreciates CORNEX's technological innovation and mature application in the field of ship electrification. He pointed out that developing green and intelligent shipping is an inevitable requirement for promoting high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. CORNEX's breakthrough in high-capacity lithium battery systems for ships, especially in providing core power for ships like the "Gezhouba", reflects the company's solid technical strength and forward-looking research and development spirit. The Yangtze River Maritime Safety Administration will continue to pay attention to and support the research and application of such key technologies, further improve the technical standard system and policy guidance for inland new energy ships, and provide support for accelerating the promotion of the "electrified Yangtze River".  

During the communication, He Wei emphasized that safety is the cornerstone of the large-scale promotion of electric ships and the lifeline for the healthy development of the industry. CORNEX's product practice provides strong support for telling the Chinese story of high safety and high-performance marine batteries. He proposed that the Maritime Safety Administration, classification societies, and enterprises should establish a closer linkage mechanism to maximize the cohesion and promote development together.
