[China's first direct hydrogen production unit achieves stable operation for 500 hours] The first (set) 110 kW thermal coupled seawater direct electrolysis hydrogen production system device in China has successfully passed the review of the expert panel led by the academicians of the CAS Member. The device has achieved over 500 hours of continuous and stable operation, marking a key breakthrough for China in the global cutting-edge technology field of direct electrolysis of seawater for hydrogen production, from laboratory research to engineering applications. This technology system directly utilizes seawater for efficient electrolysis and hydrogen production through thermal coupling, avoiding complex seawater pretreatment processes. It has the advantages of low energy consumption, strong adaptability, and environmental friendliness. Experts point out that this achievement provides important technical support for China's development in clean energy and hydrogen energy industries, and is of great significance in promoting the transformation of energy structure.
