[Expansion of Qingdao Port Qianwan North Bank Railway]Recently, the expansion and renovation project of the railway on the north bank of Qianwan Port Area in Qingdao Port, Shandong Province has officially started. This project is an important part of the container series upgrading and renovation project on the north bank of Qianwan Port Area in Qingdao Port. It will build 4 new arrival and departure lines, bringing the total number of arrival and departure lines to 18 after completion. It will also construct and renovate 5 bulk cargo loading and unloading lines and 21 container loading and unloading lines. The project reshapes the railway loading and unloading operation area from multiple aspects, creating an intensive, intelligent, and integrated collection and distribution system to reduce time and cost. Pioneering two new models, the capacity for dry bulk cargo and container loading and unloading will be significantly improved after completion. The number of container loading and unloading lines, collection and distribution, and sea rail intermodal transportation capacity of the North Shore Railway will rank among the top in the country. The land for the Yongzhou Qingyuan Guangzhou Railway (Hunan section) has been approved and is planned to start construction in 2026. The total length of the project is 161.5 kilometers, with a total investment of approximately 29.666 billion yuan, a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and a bridge tunnel ratio of over 84%. The line starts from Yongzhou Station and passes through areas such as Lingling, Shuangpai, Ningyuan, and Lanshan. It has four newly built stations and connects to the under construction Shaoyong High speed Railway at the northern end. The land for the construction of the Suining Neijiang section of the Mianyang Suining Neijiang railway has been approved and is planned to start construction in 2026. The total length of the project is about 107.8 kilometers, with a total investment of 20.63 billion yuan, a designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour, and a bridge tunnel ratio of up to 80.03%. The line starts from the under construction Suining High tech Station, goes south through Anyue County and Neijiang City in Ziyang, and ends at Neijiang North Station, with four stations including Anju Station, and will connect with the Neizi Lu High speed Railway. As a key project in the Chengdu Chongqing Economic Circle, it will achieve a 1-hour interchange from Suining to Neijiang after completion, filling the gap of high-speed rail in the central, southern and northern directions of Sichuan.Editor/Bian Wenjun
