The project plans to synchronously construct four lines of "high-speed rail+freight", among which the Shanghai Zhahang high-speed rail with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour is an important connecting line of the national high-speed rail network coastal channel, and will become the third high-speed rail passenger transport channel connecting Shanghai and Hangzhou. The synchronous construction of the freight railway is designed with a speed of 160 kilometers per hour, aiming to build a freight network around Hangzhou Bay, alleviate the pressure of road transportation in Shanghai Port, and promote the development of industrial zones such as Pinghu Dushan Port.
