[The first hybrid energy storage station in the country has been put into operation] The first large-scale lithium sodium hybrid grid type energy storage station in China, Qiubei Baochi Energy Storage Station, has been officially put into operation in Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, marking a key leap from technological research and development to engineering application of sodium ion battery energy storage in China. The total installed capacity of the station is 400000 kilowatts, with green electricity accounting for as much as 98%. It is expected to be able to regulate approximately 580 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 270000 households. The power station can provide stable regulation support for more than 30 new energy projects such as Jinping Xifeng Electric Field and Honghuashan Photovoltaic Power Station. As of December 2025, the power station has completed 612 charging and discharging cycles, with a cumulative charging and discharging capacity of 210 million kilowatt hours, and an expected annual output value of 68 million yuan.Editor/Yang Meiling

• On December 15, 2025, Kaisheng Tongcheng Modern Smart Agriculture Co., Ltd. issued a bidding announcement for the Anhui Tongcheng 50MW/100MWh user side energy storage project. The total investment of the project is about 151 million yuan, equivalent to a unit price of about 1.51 yuan/Wh. The general contracting unit will be selected through open bidding. The project is positioned as a user side energy storage power station, achieving a total capacity of 50MW/100MWh by integrating 9 2.5MW/5MWh and 275 125kW/216kWh energy storage units.
