[85.5 kilometers! China builds the farthest offshore wind farm connected to the grid]On December 15, 2025, when the last giant wind turbine blade began to rotate deep in the Yellow Sea, China's offshore wind power entered a broader "deep blue". On this day, the Three Gorges Jiangsu Dafeng 800 MW offshore wind power project achieved full capacity grid connection. It is located 85.5 kilometers offshore, making it the farthest offshore grid connected project in China to date, marking the successful entry of China's offshore wind power into the deep sea.
The farthest offshore distance of this project is 85.5 kilometers, far exceeding conventional offshore wind power projects. This distance poses unprecedented challenges to the reliability of wind turbines, the stability of power transmission, and offshore construction and operation. The successful grid connection of the project means that China has systematically mastered and broken through a series of key technological bottlenecks in the development of offshore wind power.
A total of 98 wind turbines were installed in the project, with a total installed capacity of 800 megawatts. Three offshore booster stations and one offshore rescue platform were also constructed as supporting facilities. After being fully put into operation, it can annually deliver a large amount of clean electricity to the power grid, significantly optimizing the regional energy structure and providing stable impetus for the green development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
The completion of the Dafeng project is not only the completion of a power station, but also a concentrated demonstration of China's wind power industry capabilities. It has accumulated valuable experience and verified the technological system for the future large-scale development of deep-sea wind power resources in China, and is a solid milestone for the industry to march towards deeper and broader oceans. Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Prime Minister Basarov led a delegation to visit Shandong Province, China, and held talks with Shandong Provincial Party Secretary Lin Wu. Both sides reached consensus on deepening cooperation in areas such as mechanical manufacturing and industrialization of small and medium-sized enterprises. Kyrgyzstan has proposed a plan to build 250 new production lines, covering areas such as food processing and metal processing. Enterprises in Shandong Province will provide equipment and technical support to promote the implementation of production capacity cooperation.Editor/Gao Xue
China Electric Power Construction and Montenegro State Highway Company officially signed a business contract for the MA highway project in Podgorica. The total length of the project is 23.48 kilometers, with a designed speed of 100 kilometers per hour and four lanes in both directions. This is the first general contracting project undertaken by China Electric Power Construction in Montenegro. After completion, it will improve the regional road network structure, enhance cross-border traffic efficiency, and drive economic and social development along the route.Editor/Gao Xue
