[Chongqing Feilong Reservoir fully starts construction] On December 16, 2025, the Feilong Reservoir project in Fengdu County, Chongqing officially began comprehensive construction, which was undertaken by China Hydropower Fifth Bureau. The total investment of the reservoir is 1.02 billion yuan, with a total storage capacity of 13.16 million cubic meters. It is the largest backbone water source project in Fengdu County and is positioned as a "key strategic pivot" of the water network on the north bank of the Yangtze River. It can not only solve the problem of local engineering and seasonal water shortage, allowing more than 150000 people to drink safe water, but also provide irrigation guarantee for 26500 acres of farmland. The project adopts advanced dam types, with high construction standards and a construction period of 38 months.
