[Qixi Expressway has started construction!] On December 24, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Chongqing Qijiang to Guizhou Xishui Expressway, spanning Chongqing and Guizhou, was successfully held. It is an important provincial passage in the direction of Chongqing and Guizhou, with a total length of about 30.96 kilometers. It starts from An'an Town in Qijiang District, ends at Liyuan Village at the boundary of Chongqing and Guizhou provinces, and extends from Guizhou section to Wenshui Town in Xishui County, where it connects to the Zhengxi Expressway. The project adopts a two-way four lane design with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour, and key control projects are constructed simultaneously. After completion, it will promote the integration of southern Qijiang into the development circle of Chongqing's main city, strengthen regional resource linkage, accelerate the circulation of industrial factors, and build a "fast lane" for the coordinated development of southern Chongqing and northern Guizhou.
