[Hanhua Ocean wins a large order worth 12.8 billion yuan] Hanhua Ocean announced the signing of the EPC contract for the Shinan Ui offshore wind power project in South Korea, with a total value of approximately 2.64 trillion Korean won. The project has an installed capacity of 390MW and will install 26 Vestas 15MW offshore wind turbines, with an expected annual power generation of 1052GWh, which can meet the annual electricity demand of about 290000 households. Hanhua Marine and Modern Engineering Construction have formed a consortium to jointly undertake the project, which covers core aspects such as infrastructure manufacturing and installation, submarine cable laying, and substation construction. It is planned to be put into operation in 2029. This project will be supported by a dedicated wind power installation vessel newly built by Hanhua Ocean, marking the company's comprehensive entry into the offshore wind power field. As one of the key projects for South Korea to achieve its 2035 target of 25GW offshore wind power, its launch will effectively promote the large-scale development of the country's offshore wind power industry.
