[The Chongqing Guizhou and Hunan Guizhou Power Mutual Aid Project has started construction] On December 25, 2025, the Chongqing Guizhou and Hunan Guizhou Power Flexible Mutual Aid Project officially started construction, marking a crucial step for Guizhou in building a power hub in the southwest region. The dynamic investment for both projects is about 4.95 billion yuan, with a total of about 210 kilometers of new construction in the Guizhou section. After the completion of the project, an additional 3 million kilowatts of inter provincial bidirectional power transmission capacity will be added, effectively promoting deep complementarity between Guizhou, Chongqing, and Hunan in seasonal electricity, surplus electricity adjustment, and emergency support. This not only strengthens the interconnection between the two major systems of State Grid and Southern Power Grid, improves the efficiency of cross provincial optimization of energy resource allocation, provides solid physical support for building a unified national electricity market, but also provides stronger guarantees for the economic and social development and people's electricity demand in the three provinces (cities).
