[Gansu Province implements a new energy storage capacity compensation mechanism] On December 31, 2025, the Development and Reform Commission of Gansu Province issued a trial notice, clarifying the establishment of a reliable capacity compensation mechanism for power generation from January 1, 2026. This mechanism covers compliant public coal-fired power units in operation and independent new energy storage on the grid side, with a compensation standard tentatively set at 330 yuan per kilowatt per year.
