[Gansu Province implements a new energy storage capacity compensation mechanism] On December 31, 2025, the Development and Reform Commission of Gansu Province issued a trial notice, clarifying the establishment of a reliable capacity compensation mechanism for power generation from January 1, 2026. This mechanism covers compliant public coal-fired power units in operation and independent new energy storage on the grid side, with a compensation standard tentatively set at 330 yuan per kilowatt per year. The capacity electricity bill will be determined based on the declared capacity, compensation standards, and capacity supply and demand coefficient, aiming to support the continuous and stable power supply of units and energy storage projects during the peak period of the system.Editor/Yang Meiling
