[China Railway Construction of Ethiopian Highways] The main line of the Ethiopia Etya to Robbie Highway (IR Highway) upgrade and renovation project, undertaken by China Railway Third Bureau, has been completed and opened to traffic. The total length of the project route is 75.6 kilometers, which is a key passage connecting important agricultural production areas and processing cities in Oromia Oblast. After the opening of the road, the travel time between the two places has been significantly reduced from 6 hours to 1.5 hours, greatly improving local transportation conditions, enhancing the efficiency of agricultural product transportation, and effectively promoting economic development along the route. During the construction process, the project actively promoted localized management and cultivated a total of 230 local technical backbones.
