[Huaneng Qingneng Institute launches procurement of 2GW energy storage PCS framework]On January 9, 2026, China Huaneng Group Clean Energy Technology Research Institute released the bidding for the procurement of key equipment framework for energy storage projects in 2026. The total capacity of this procurement is 2GW, divided into two sections: decentralized and centralized. Each section is required to include 500MW grid connected and 500MW grid connected energy storage, conversion, and boosting equipment, with a single PCS power range of 210kW to 500kW in the decentralized section. The bidding allows for the allocation of capacity based on different technical routes in actual projects, but the total scale of framework procurement remains unchanged, reflecting Huaneng's large-scale deployment strategy in the field of new energy storage technology.Editor/Yang Meiling
