[Five departments issue documents to promote the construction of zero carbon factories] On January 19, 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and five other departments jointly issued the "Guiding Opinions on Carrying out Zero Carbon Factory Construction Work". The document proposes to encourage factories with the necessary conditions to build industrial green microgrids, integrating photovoltaic, wind power, waste heat recovery, as well as new energy storage, high-efficiency heat pumps and other technologies to achieve multi energy complementarity and efficient utilization. This guidance aims to promote factories towards zero carbon goals through systematic energy management, and provide specific implementation paths for the green and low-carbon transformation of China's industrial sector.Editor/Yang Meiling
