[Vietnam's Jin'ou Province officially approves $183 million wind power project] On January 22, 2026, the province of Gia Long in Vietnam officially approved the construction of the Heping 5.1 (80 MW) and Donghai 1.3 (50 MW) wind farms, with a total investment of over 4.8 trillion dong (approximately 183 million US dollars). As the hinterland of the Mekong Delta, the province has already put 870.2 megawatts of wind power into operation, with 10 under construction and 22 to be developed. Renewable energy has become a pillar industry. Distributed photovoltaics are also growing rapidly, with a rooftop installed capacity of 295 megawatts.
