[Integration project in western Sichuan connected to the grid] On January 30, 2026, the Xiaojinchuan "Water Light Storage" integrated project located in the western Sichuan Plateau was officially connected to the grid. The project has an average altitude of 3700 meters and a total installed capacity of 160000 kilowatts, innovatively building a "water+light+storage+storage" collaborative system. By using cascade hydropower and variable speed pumped storage to stabilize photovoltaic fluctuations, the average annual power generation is 280 million kilowatt hours, which can meet the electricity needs of 140000 households and reduce carbon emissions by 262500 tons annually. The implementation of this project marks that the total installed capacity of the clean energy base in western Sichuan has exceeded 50 million kilowatts, becoming the core pillar of Sichuan's power supply.Editor/Bian Wenjun
