[Guangdong Jiangmen Energy Storage Project officially starts construction] On February 26, 2026, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Jingshan 200 MW/400 MWh grid side independent energy storage project was held in Pengjiang District, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. The project is located next to the 220 kV Jingshan Substation in Duruan Town. It will construct a 200 MW/400 MWh lithium iron phosphate energy storage system, including a 10 MWh solid-liquid hybrid lithium-ion battery system, and simultaneously build a 220 kV energy storage booster station and substation expansion project. The EPC general contracting of this project had previously been won by a consortium for 381 million yuan, and the commencement of this project marks the entry into the substantive construction phase.Editor/Yang Meiling

• On August 7, 2026, the first phase of the 100MW/200MWh project of the independent energy storage power station in Jinxian County officially started construction. This is the first provincial-level new energy storage pilot demonstration project in Jiangxi Province and the first independent energy storage project to start construction in Nanchang City. The overall planned installed capacity of the project is 300MW/600MWh.
