[Hunan Liyang Plain Irrigation Project Starts Construction] On March 30, 2026, the national key water conservancy project - the continuation and modernization of the Liyang Plain Irrigation Area in Hunan Province - started construction in Changde Li County, becoming the first key water conservancy project to start construction in Hunan this year. The total investment of the project is 486 million yuan, covering 76 kilometers of anti-seepage measures for main and branch channels, 483 canal system building renovations, and information technology construction.
