Recently, PowerChina Sichuan Design Consulting Company won the bid for the Zimbabwe Alaska-Karuoy transmission engineering design project. This project is the project that Sichuan Design Consulting Company won the bid in the East and South Africa region after the 400kV Cunene~Omatendu substation in Namibia since 2021. According to the contract, the project mainly includes the construction of a 85-kilometer 132 kV line; a new 132/33 kV substation in Karoy Town; the connection of three existing 33 kV lines to the new substation in Karoy; supply and integration Construct a 23-kilometer 11-kV new line and install related distribution transformers; supply and construct a 13-kilometer new low-voltage line; provide distribution materials for the renovation of the existing medium-voltage and low-voltage distribution network (including distribution transformers); Provide low voltage materials for 4800 customers, including wires, cable accessories, prepaid meters, poles, accessories, etc. After the project is completed, it will become an important part of Zimbabwe's national backbone power grid, which can ease the tension in Zimbabwe's domestic power transmission, improve people's living standards, and further enhance the influence of the China Power Construction brand in Zimbabwe.
