Public Power Solutions (PPS), a British power company owned by the Swindon Borough Council, has signed a joint development agreement with Hive Energy and Ethical Power.
PPS will lead the project development and work with Hive Energy and Ethical Power to optimize the project location. Hive Energy and Ethical Power will be responsible for the construction and long-term management of the project. PPS Managing Director Bernie Brannan said: “PPS looks forward to working with Hive and Ethical to provide important solar and storage development pipelines, which will make an important contribution to the UK’s energy system decarbonization plan. “Our partnership will facilitate We adopt a consistent approach throughout the life cycle of our projects and ensure long-term beneficial relationships with the communities hosting these projects. The first project the partners will develop will be a 45MW solar and battery storage program at Burcot Farm in South Oxfordshire. The two companies intend to apply for planning permission for the project at the beginning of this year.
