On January 7, 2022, in Kunshan, Jiangsu, the global R&D center of Sany Heavy Machinery was officially opened.

The project covers an area of 875 mu and has an investment of 12 billion yuan. Construction will start in 2020. It is planned to build Sany Kunshan Industrial Park into a 100 billion-level headquarters and R&D base within five years, and build it into a demonstration park for intelligent manufacturing in China.

The project is divided into three phases of construction. The R&D center and cloud manufacturing area are the first phase, the R&D expert building is the second phase, and the comprehensive service center and supporting offices are the third phase.

The R&D center includes "two stations, eight academies and two centers", two stations refer to academician workstations and postdoctoral workstations, the eighth academies are intelligent research institutes; electric research institutes, digital research institutes; and five main engine research institutes, two centers are experimental development Center and Engineering Center.

On January 7, 2022, the first phase of the R&D center officially settled in.
