On February 8, 2022, the commencement ceremony of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal Siyang Taoyuan Bridge and other projects was held in Siyang County, Suqian City. The Taoyuan Bridge, which was built by the China Railway Bridge Bureau, officially entered the construction stage.

The Beijing-Hangzhou Canal Siyang Taoyuan Bridge project starts at the intersection of Zhongxing East Road and Taoyuan South Road. Among them, the main bridge is a hybrid cable-stayed bridge spanning the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal with a main span of 385 meters. The bridge is 1060 meters long and 40.6 meters wide, with a design speed of 60 kilometers per hour and a design vehicle load level of city-A.

Siyang Taoyuan Bridge on Beijing-Hangzhou Canal is an important part of Taoyuan South Road, the main road of the city, and an important passage in the traffic network of Siyang County. After the bridge is completed, it will further open up the traffic barriers between the southern area of the city and the main urban area, greatly improve the traffic pressure on the river crossing channels such as the Siyang Bridge, the Ship Lock Highway Bridge, and the Chengzi River Highway Bridge. The tower's tallest cable-stayed bridge and Siyang landmark building are of great significance to promoting Lianghezhou and both sides of Taoyuan Road to become a new landmark area in Siyang County to display "the most beautiful county in the Qianli Canal".Editor/Ma Xue
