On September 1, 2022, I learned from the Chongqing Public Resource Trading Center that the survey and design general contracting results of 4 suburban railways from the central city of Chongqing to Yongchuan were released. The total length of the project line is about 278km, and the direct engineering investment is about 66.2 billion yuan. .

Project overview and construction scale: 4 new urban railway lines will be built. The design maximum operating speed is 140km/h-160km/h, and the final approval shall prevail, and the AC25kV power supply system will be adopted. The above-mentioned route is located in the mountainous and hilly area. The landform is medium and low mountain landforms of structural erosion and dissolution. It crosses many mountain ranges such as Bayue Mountain, Yunwu Mountain, Zhongliang Mountain and Jinyun Mountain. There are mainly karst, goaf, gas coal seam and other adverse geological conditions. It is a karst tunnel, of which Jinyunshan Tunnel is about 5.6km long, Zhongliangshan Tunnel is about 5.7km long, and the tunnels are buried deep, reaching 300m or more in many places.

An overview of the four routes is as follows:

Bishan to Dazu line (C3 line): It leads from Bishan Daishan Avenue Station of Bitong Line, passes through Bishan and Tongliang to Dazu, the total length of the line is about 56 kilometers, and the direct engineering investment is about 11.4 billion yuan;

The line from the central urban area to Yongchuan (Line C4): from the central urban area of Chongqing to Yongchuan District via Bishan, the total length is about 68 kilometers, and the direct engineering investment is about 20.3 billion yuan;

The line from the central city to Qijiang-Wansheng (Line C5): from the central city of Chongqing to Wansheng via Qijiang, the total length of the line is about 79 kilometers, and the direct engineering investment is about 19.2 billion yuan;

 The line from the central urban area to Nanchuan (Line C6): from the central urban area of Chongqing via Ersheng, Lixiang Lake and Daguan to Nanchuan urban area, the total length of the line is about 75 kilometers, and the direct engineering investment is about 15.3 billion yuan.
