China State Construction Engineering Corporation has obtained an agreement of 332.34 million euros to build highway sections in Bosnia and Hercegovina Autonomous Region. The 33 km highway will extend from Vukosavl Town to Brcko Town, which is part of the highway connecting Republika Srpska with neighboring Serbia and its capital Belgrade. The road starts from the city of Prijedor in western Bosnia and the territory of Republika Srpska.

CSCEC was selected by Autoputevi, a state-owned highway operator, and its bid for this project was the lowest of the eight. This Chinese company has been winning major contracts in the former Yugoslav countries, including Montenegro.
Republika Srpska is one of the two entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the other is the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the north and east of the country.Editor/Xing Wentao
