According to reports, the 1.2 million tons/year ethylene plant is the key device for the transformation and upgrading of refining and chemical industry of Jilin Petrochemical Company. The construction investment is 3.729 billion yuan, and the annual production of polymer-grade ethylene is 1.2 million tons, polymer-grade propylene is 587,000 tons, and the by-product is hydrogen and mixed carbon fourth class products. After completion, Jilin Petrochemical ethylene production capacity and chemical scale will reach the domestic advanced level.

Jing Junhai, secretary of the provincial Party Committee, stressed that promoting the transformation and upgrading of refining and chemical industry of Jilin Petrochemical Company is an important measure for Jilin Province to fully implement the requirements of the Party's 20 major deployment, accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system, and cultivate new drivers for revitalization and development.
