On May 30, the official website of China Power Construction announced that a few days ago, the temporary construction of the Saudi Saidavi 2GW photovoltaic project undertaken by the 12th Hydropower Bureau officially started.
The project is located in Saidavi Town, Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, and the construction content includes supporting facilities such as the owner's office area, EPC office area and living area, and labor camp.
On May 18, the 12th Bureau of Hydropower and Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. officially signed a contract. According to the contract arrangement, the project started on May 24, and the site leveling, pipe trench excavation and camp fence operations have been fully carried out, and the on-site construction is progressing in an orderly manner.
Previously, on April 10, Shanghai Electric and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (MASDAR) signed a cooperation agreement in Shanghai for the Al-Sadawi 2GW photovoltaic project in Saudi Arabia. This project is the largest photovoltaic EPC project undertaken by Shanghai Electric so far.
The Saidavi PV project, which is part of the fifth round of Saudi Arabia's National Renewable Energy Program (NREP), is located in eastern Saudi Arabia and covers an area of about 40 square kilometers, which is about the size of 5,700 standard football fields.
After completion, the project is expected to provide more than 6 billion kilowatt hours of electricity to the local area every year, meeting the electricity needs of more than 70 million households, while also reducing carbon emissions by 3 million tons.(This article is from the official website of Seetao www.seetao.com.
