After 10 years of efforts, the the Belt and Road, an international cooperation initiative with a long history and a view to a better future for mankind, has opened up a path to bring benefits to the development and prosperity of the world in the joint construction and cooperation between China and neighboring countries. Taking advantage of the east wind of the the Belt and Road, Yuchai Machinery has injected strong momentum into the economic and social development along the line, becoming a Chinese dynamic brand shining along the the Belt and Road.

In Central Asia, Yuchai Machinery has injected new vitality into the development of local cities and the improvement of people's living environment with excellent products and services. Recently, batches of Yutong and Jinlv buses equipped with Yuchai engines have been delivered to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, providing support for local public transportation. At present, Chinese brand buses equipped with Yuchai gas engines have a market share of over 90% in Central Asia. This means that if you take public transportation in these countries, it is very likely that you will be riding a Chinese brand bus equipped with Yuchaixin.

In the Middle East, the power of Yuchai passenger cars has also been widely recognized. The number of school buses, pilgrimage buses, and tourist buses equipped with Yuchai machines exceeds 25000, with a market share of 70%. During the 2022 Qatar World Cup, all the generator sets required for multiple fan camps were powered by Yuchai. Between the stadium and major campsites, hundreds of Chinese buses equipped with Yuchai engines come and go, providing guarantees for fans to watch the game.

In Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore, various vehicles and machinery equipped with Yuchai engines can be seen everywhere. These products are widely used in mining, tourism and passenger transportation, construction engineering, logistics and transportation, data centers, and other fields in Southeast Asia. As the first Chinese high-speed railway to go abroad, Ya'an Wanzhou High speed Railway is a golden signboard for China Indonesia cooperation on the the Belt and Road. During the project construction period, Yuchai power generation played an important role. In addition, Yuchai Engine has also become the Chinese power brand with the highest passing rate of Euro IV registration and certification in Vietnam, with a possession of over 150000 units in the Vietnamese market. Nowadays, Southeast Asia has become the largest overseas market for Yuchai.

In Africa, over 10000 Yuchai engines provide powerful power for trucks, buses, tractors, and other vehicles in various countries every year. Yuchai and local partners in Nigeria have jointly localized the production of generator sets, which have withstood various environmental tests in the African market.

In the 10 years since the proposal of jointly building the the Belt and Road, Yuchai has seized the opportunity of the the Belt and Road construction, improved its overseas layout, continued to deepen the strategy of going out and opening up cooperation, and achieved the vigorous development of the overseas market.  Editor/Yang Yang
