On February 17, 2024, it was learned from the Energy Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region that the bureau has agreed to implement 10 market-oriented new energy projects, including the "source network load storage" integrated project of Inner Mongolia Xiangfu New Energy Co., Ltd. and the photovoltaic green power supply project of Haibowan Industrial Park in Baowu Qingneng Wuhai High tech Industrial Development Zone, with a total scale of 5.835 million kilowatts.

In order to promote the large-scale development and high proportion application of new energy, Inner Mongolia is the first in the country to innovate and launch six types of market-oriented consumption models for new energy, including green power supply in industrial parks. It allocates corresponding scale of new energy for new power loads, in order to achieve spontaneous self use of new energy electricity and reduce total energy consumption, carbon emissions, and energy costs. In 2023, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region formulated a new power system construction plan, promoted high-quality development of new energy, and optimized several measures for power grid approval and construction. Six types of market-oriented new energy projects were implemented in accordance with detailed rules, and market-oriented grid connected new energy projects that meet the requirements were reported and approved at the same time. Approximately 5.7 million kilowatts of market-oriented new energy projects were put into operation throughout the year.
