The Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting came to an end in Beijing. From stratospheric floating wind power to deep-sea carbon storage, from billion degree controllable nuclear fusion to 600 kilometer superconducting maglev, from AI+energy to space computing constellations, this grand event directly presents the answer sheet of China's new energy system construction to everyone. In the first year of the 15th Five Year Plan, the global energy landscape underwent a deep reshuffle, and the Zhongguancun Forum, with its full range of hard core achievements, injected the most certainty into China's energy industry.

Technologically independent and controllable, deeply rooted

The core of the new energy system is that non fossil fuels become the main suppliers. The stratospheric floating wind power generation system on the forum completely breaks through terrain limitations, and large megawatt offshore wind turbines rely on autonomous transmission chain technology to withstand extreme environments. By 2025, the cumulative installed capacity of wind and photovoltaic power in China will exceed 1.8 billion kilowatts, surpassing coal-fired power in history. Traditional energy is also undergoing green upgrades. The CCUS project of Huaneng Gansu Zhengning coal-fired power plant can capture 1.5 million tons of carbon dioxide annually, with a capture rate of over 90%. Controllable nuclear fusion has achieved billions of degrees of operation, and China continues to make breakthroughs in core areas such as high-temperature superconductivity and key materials for fusion reactors, accelerating the commercialization process.

Collaborative AI across the entire chain reconstructs the ecosystem

AI is reshaping the underlying logic of the energy industry with disruptive power. Computer collaboration has become a national level new infrastructure, and stable low-carbon green electricity is the core foundation of the computing power industry. The upgrading of computing power has also enabled the full capacity of intelligent dispatching in the power grid. The space data center model on the forum aims to bring AI computing power to space, powered by space solar energy and cooled by low temperatures in the universe. Beijing has formed 7 billion level industrial clusters, including artificial intelligence, and has laid out 23 future industrial tracks. 6G technology has been implemented in the smart grid, equipping the new power system with a smart brain. During the forum, relevant national departments jointly launched 40 policies to support scientific and technological innovation in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region. Open and Win Win Contribution China Plan

The Swiss Green Low Carbon Technology Matchmaking Session on the Forum enables precise integration of top global green technologies with Chinese industrial scenarios. The digital quantification of ecological benefits, CCER carbon trading, and citizen carbon inclusion model proposed by the Beijing Green Exchange provides replicable experience for low-carbon transformation in global cities. The world's first deep-sea carbon dioxide solidification and storage experiment completed by China has opened up a new space for global carbon neutrality. China's photovoltaic, wind power, and ultra-high voltage technologies are also continuously going global. This two-way open model not only benefits China's energy system, but also injects momentum into global energy security and low-carbon transformation. From the laboratory to the front line of industry, from domestic collaboration to global cooperation, China is firmly grasping the certainty of high-quality development with technological innovation.Editor/Gao Xue
