Since 2024, Three Gorges Energy, a subsidiary of Three Gorges Group, has successfully deployed 1.2 million kilowatts of wind storage base project supporting electrochemical energy storage power stations in the south of Fuyang, Anhui Province, playing a vital role in power security. The power station is called four times a day, efficient operation, this year's cumulative charge and discharge has exceeded 100 million KWH, making a significant contribution to the construction of a more stable and reliable power system.

As the first new energy large-scale scenery base project in the Yangtze River Delta region, the power station has always strictly complied with the grid dispatching instructions since it was connected to the grid in June 2023, and accurately implemented the "peak cutting and valley filling" adjustment according to the load prediction results to ensure the stable operation of the power system.

In 2024, East China has repeatedly encountered a wide range of rain and snow cooling weather, resulting in a continuous rise in power load. According to the latest data of Anhui Power trading platform, in January, 24, the social electricity consumption in Anhui Province has reached 31.296 billion KWH, an increase of 30.37%, which undoubtedly brings continuous pressure to the stable operation of the power grid.

During the two sessions of the National People's Congress, the power station continued to strengthen the special inspection work of the equipment to ensure the stability of the power supply, fully grasp the operating status of the equipment, and promptly eliminate potential safety hazards and equipment defects. The power station implemented the "two charge and two discharge" plan, and adjusted it by "cutting peak and filling valley". Specifically, the power station is charged and stored during the off-peak hours of the grid load from 3:00 am to 5:00 AM and 11:30 PM to 13:30 PM; During peak demand, power stations release electricity to fill the gap. The maximum full power peak discharge of the power station is 2 hours, which provides strong support for the stable operation of the power system.

The 2024 government work report clearly points out that the construction of large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases and delivery channels needs to be further strengthened, and for the first time puts forward the strategic goal of developing new energy storage. As the first "super large electrochemical charging bank" with a scale of up to 300 MW /600 MWH, the power station will continue to play an important role in ensuring the stability of energy supply and contribute to the strong strength of the Three Gorges Group.
