Recently, the civil engineering construction of the first phase of the Xi'an Metro Line 16 project was announced. China Railway Beijing Bureau, China Railway 21st Bureau, China Railway 11th Bureau and China Railway Guangzhou Bureau won the bids for the first to fourth sections of the project. 

The first phase of Metro Line 16 is from Fengdong Town Station to Energy 3rd Road Station. The total length of the line is about 15.03 kilometers. There are 9 stations and 4 interchange stations, all of which are underground. In the first phase of the project, a new Shahetan depot, a main substation and a control center will be built.

Among them, the starting point of the first section (D16-GC-TJ1)-Fengdong Avenue Station (not included) (a total of 2 stations and 3 sections), the main work content is the pre-stage engineering, civil engineering, civil air defense engineering, etc .; the second section (D16-GC-TJ1) GC-TJ2) is Fengdong Avenue Station (inclusive)-Ketong Sanlu Station (inclusive) (a total of 3 stations and 2 sections), the main work content is pre-stage engineering, civil engineering, civil air defense engineering, etc .; section three (D16-GC -TJ3) Ketong San Road Station (excluding)-Shanglin Road Station (inclusive) (a total of 2 stations and 2 sections), the main work content is pre-stage engineering, civil engineering, civil air defense engineering, etc .; section 4 (D16-GC -TJ4) is Shanglin Road Station (not included)-the end point, the access line (a total of 2 stations and 3 sections), the main work content is pre-stage engineering, civil engineering, civil air defense engineering, etc.

It is understood that Line 16 is an important regional express line in the north-south direction of Xi'an urban rail transportation planning. It will connect a series of important groups such as Fenghe Jinwan, Greater Xi'an New Central Business District, Silk Road International Center, and OCT Happy Valley.
