Two crystalline silicon photovoltaic projects settled in Baotou, Inner Mongolia

On April 3, the Baotou city government ushered in a moment to remember. On this day, the municipal government signed a far-reaching cooperation framework agreement with Qinghai Lihao Semiconductor Materials Co., Ltd. and Yingfa Holding Group Co., LTD. The signing of this agreement marks that the important investment projects of two well-known domestic enterprises will officially settle in Damao Zero Carbon Park, injecting new vitality into the local economic development.

Qinghai Lihao Semiconductor Materials Co., Ltd. invested the annual output of 200,000 tons of high-purity crystalline silicon supporting 250,000 tons of industrial silicon projects, with a total investment of up to 25 billion yuan. The project is planned to be constructed in two phases, with an investment of 15 billion yuan in the first phase, and will build an annual output of 100,000 tons of high-purity crystalline silicon production line and 125,000 tons of industrial silicon production line to meet the market demand for high-quality silicon materials. The investment of 10 billion yuan in the second phase will not only build another production line with an annual output of 100,000 tons of high-purity crystalline silicon and 125,000 tons of industrial silicon production line, but also support the construction of office, research and development, accommodation and public auxiliary facilities to further improve the industrial chain and ecosystem of the project.

At the same time, Yingfa Holding Group Co., Ltd. will also invest in Damao zero-carbon Park with an annual output of 40GW single crystal rod, 20GW slice, 20GW high efficiency crystalline silicon battery new energy projects, with a total investment of up to 32 billion yuan. The project will be constructed in three phases, each carrying important construction tasks and objectives. Phase I investment of 5.2 billion yuan, will build an annual output of 10GW single crystal rod, 5GW slice and 5GW high efficiency crystalline silicon cell production lines, laying a solid foundation for the smooth start of the project. Phase II investment of 4.8 billion yuan, focusing on the construction of an annual output of 20GW single crystal rod production line to meet the market for a large number of single crystal rod demand. To the third phase, the investment will reach 10 billion yuan, the construction of an annual output of 10GW single crystal rod, 15GW slice and 15GW high efficiency crystalline silicon cell production lines, and supporting the construction of office, research and development, accommodation and public auxiliary facilities to ensure that the project can be fully and efficiently run.

The landing of these two major projects will not only promote the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure of Damao Zero-carbon Park, improve the quality and efficiency of local economic development, but also inject new impetus into the green development and new energy industry of Baotou City and even the entire Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. At the same time, this also reflects the Baotou City government's firm determination and positive actions in promoting the development of the new energy industry and promoting economic transformation and upgrading.
