On April 1, Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Electric Wind Power") published an investor relations activity sheet detailing the latest progress of its offshore wind power project at the North N2 site on the Shandong Peninsula.

According to the record form, the offshore wind power project of the Shandong Peninsula North N2 site of Electric Wind Power has successfully obtained project approval, and is currently fully promoting the approval work of relevant departments. The company plans to officially start construction in mid-2024, and strive to complete all grid-connected power generation work by the end of 2025, which will mark the successful completion of the project from planning to landing.

The N2 site of Shandong Peninsula North offshore wind power project is located in the northeast sea area of Shandong Peninsula, with a superior geographical position. The center of the site is approximately 67 kilometers offshore, and the entire site covers an area of 116 square kilometers. The water depth of the wind farm field area is between 52 and 60 meters, providing a good Marine environment for the installation and operation of wind power equipment.

In terms of project scale, the planned installed capacity of the project is up to 900 MW, and 75 WTG252-12000 wind turbines are planned to be deployed. In addition, the project will also build a ±320 kV offshore converter station and a ±320 kV onshore converter station to ensure that the energy generated by the wind farm can be efficiently and stably connected to the grid.

In terms of power transmission, the electric energy emitted by the wind turbine will be connected to the AC side of the offshore converter station through the 66 kV submarine cable, after the boost rectification, and then through the two ±320 kV DC submarine cable landing. The power will then be converted to a ±320 kV DC land cable, which will be connected to the new ±320 kV land converter station. After the inverter processing, the electric energy will eventually be connected to the 500 kV Muping substation with a primary AC 500 kV overhead line to achieve interconnection with the power grid.

In terms of investment, the static investment of the project is expected to be 125,2719 million yuan, and the dynamic investment is expected to be 129,0377 million yuan. This major project has been included in the list of provincial major projects in Shandong Province in 2024, which fully reflects the deep strength and forward-looking layout of electric wind power in the field of new energy.

As a leading enterprise in the wind power industry, electric wind power has been committed to promoting the innovation and application of wind power technology. The smooth promotion of the offshore wind power project at the N2 site in the north of the Shandong Peninsula will not only bring new performance growth points for the company, but also inject strong impetus into the development of new energy industry in Shandong Province and even the whole country.
