The total length of the channel reconstruction project of the Ningjiahe Medium-sized Irrigation District in Shawan City is 48.23 kilometers, including 3 main canals and 7 branch canals. The construction is divided into six bid sections at the same time.
Yang Bo, a cadre of the construction and management unit of Shawan City Water Conservancy Bureau, said that the project is also urging each bidding section to increase investment in machinery and personnel. After the project is completed, the irrigation area can be improved to 164,500 acres, involving the two towns of Dongwan and West Gobi, increasing The grain production capacity is 1.8 million kilograms and the new annual water saving capacity is 1.33 million cubic meters, which can effectively promote the sustainable development of agriculture and animal husbandry in the two towns.
Similarly, in Liumaowan Town, the Shawan City Jinjinjima Water Conveyance Backbone Project (Yangjiaqu) renewal and reconstruction project has resumed work on March 25, and various bidding sections are also under intensive construction. The project mainly constructs more than 11 kilometers of anti-seepage channels and supporting buildings such as water control gates and agricultural bridges.
It is understood that the Shawan City Jinjinjima Water Conveyance Backbone Project (Yangjiaqu) renovation project has a total investment of 21.7 million yuan and will start construction in September 2023. At present, the overall project progress is 45% complete, and it is expected to be delivered by the end of June this year.
Chen Lei, technical director of the construction and management unit of Shawan City Water Conservancy Bureau, said that after the project is completed, the total controlled irrigation area will be 80,800 acres. On the one hand, surface water was used to replace groundwater, saving 5.6 million cubic meters of groundwater.
