The century-old steam locomotives in Northeast China are like a living scroll of history, witnessing the vicissitudes of this land and the rise of industrial civilization. Since the late 19th century, as the wave of the Industrial Revolution swept across the world, steam locomotives were one of the most advanced land vehicles at the time. Da'an North Steam Locomotive Exhibition Hall is located in the northwest of Da'an City, Jilin Province, covering a vast area of approximately 21,600 square meters. There are nearly 80 steam locomotives gathered here, all of which come from the original 24 locomotive depots in Northeast China. Each one carries a rich history and story. As the largest garden-style steam locomotive exhibition hall in China, it is not only a paradise for locomotive enthusiasts, but also a witness to history.

The exhibition hall treats every steam locomotive like a precious work of art, and conducts comprehensive restoration according to the standards of exhibit-level locomotives. The principle of restoring the old as it was has allowed these steam locomotives that once galloped across the Northeast to regain their original splendor, as if going back in time, allowing people to be immersed in the glorious days of the steam age.

In the outdoor exhibition area of the exhibition hall, a group of steam locomotives are arranged in a circle. The diameter of the locomotive turntable is 30 meters. Dozens of black and red steam locomotives are arranged in a radial pattern. At a glance, the scene is spectacular and breathtaking. Each locomotive seems to be a microcosm of an era, telling the glory and splendor of that era.

In addition to outdoor exhibitions, the Da'an North Steam Locomotive Exhibition Hall also has an indoor exhibition hall covering an area of about 100 square meters. Parts of some steam locomotives, precious historical relics and books, old road clothes, and typical deeds of the locomotive charter group are displayed here. Through these exhibits, people can have a deeper understanding of the structure and working principle of steam locomotives and feel the unique charm of that era.
