The reconstruction project of the 316 National Highway from Suixian Shangshi to Suiyangdian section, undertaken by the Eighth Company of CCCC Three Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., will start grandly on April 16. As a provincial key project in Hubei Province in 2024, the importance of this project is self-evident.

The reconstruction project starts from Nangang Village, Shangshi Town, and ends at the junction of Suixian and Zaoyang on the north side of Suiyangdian. It is seamlessly connected with the Zaoyang section of National Highway 316. The total length is about 30.141 kilometers. It runs east-west as a whole. It is a hub of Hubei Province. An important artery for east-west communication within the city.

The reconstruction project is large-scale and covers many aspects such as main roads, bridges, culverts, pedestrian passages, road modifications, ditch modifications, pipeline cross protection culverts and demolition projects. Specifically, it includes the construction of 30.141 kilometers of main roads, 11 bridges, 99 culverts, and 21 pedestrian passages, as well as 6.385 kilometers of road modifications, 1.731 kilometers of ditch modifications, 2 pipeline cross protection culverts, and 2 demolitions Implementation of the project.

The reconstruction of the county section of National Highway 316 is not only an upgrade of the existing transportation facilities, but also a further improvement of the skeleton highway network of Hubei Province. It shoulders the important task of connecting the important economic nodes of the Xiangshisuishen urban agglomeration. Once completed, it will effectively improve the national highway traffic capacity and service level, significantly improve regional traffic conditions, and have a profound impact on promoting the economic and social development of the areas along the route.
