The overhaul project from Shanghai's New Siping Highway to Xinyang Highway will be officially launched on April 24, 2024, with an estimated construction period of one year. The scope of this project starts from New Siping Highway in the west and ends at Xinyang Highway in the east, with a total length of about 2.3 kilometers. It will be constructed according to the planning level of urban secondary roads.

Since its completion in 2004, Haijie Road, a 2.3-kilometer-long road, has served as the main transportation channel for large enterprises and logistics yards along the route, carrying heavy truck traffic pressure. However, with the increase of service life, various structural diseases have gradually appeared on the road, such as subsidence, cracking, muddying and other problems on the asphalt pavement. Especially on rainy days, water accumulation is serious, which brings considerable problems to the driving of passing vehicles. comfort and safety hazards.

In order to ensure the safety, smoothness and orderliness of road traffic, the Situan Town Urban Construction Center, in conjunction with the Lingang New Area Urban Construction Transportation Affairs Center and other relevant units, held a coordination meeting before the start of the Haijie Road overhaul project. The meeting conducted in-depth discussions and refinements on specific construction plans, schedule arrangements, safety guarantees, etc. to ensure that the project can proceed smoothly.

Next, Situan Town Urban Construction Center will work with all participating units to carry out construction in strict accordance with specifications to ensure construction progress and quality. At the same time, construction safety management will be strengthened to ensure the safety of passing vehicles and pedestrians.
