On April 26, 2024, Power Investment Energy issued a notice that in view of the demand for efficient and stable operation of the 500,000kW wind power project in Biligutai, Abaga Banner, the company plans to launch the first phase of the 150MW/300MWh shared energy storage power station project in Abaga Banner through Abaga Banner New Energy Co., LTD. That is 75MW/150MWh energy storage facility. The move aims to ensure the stable operation of wind power projects while promoting the application and development of energy storage technology.

In order to meet the capital needs of the first phase of the 75MW/150MWh project of the 150MW/300MWh shared energy storage power station in Abagaqi, Abagaqi Power Investment New Energy Co., Ltd. plans to adjust its registered capital. In view of the actual investment scale of the project and the financial situation of the company, the company decided to increase the registered capital from the existing 5 million yuan to 60.2 million yuan. This capital increase will rely entirely on the company's shareholders' own funds to ensure the smooth progress of the project and the steady development of the company.

The specific site of the project is selected in the southeast of Beligutai Town, Abaga Banner, Xi League, and the linear distance from the town center is about 20 kilometers, while the linear distance from Xilin Gol city is about 70 kilometers. The area where the project is located is about 1200 meters above sea level, the terrain is flat and the vision is wide, which provides an ideal geographical environment for the construction of the project. The project site is adjacent to the G303 National Highway, providing convenient transportation conditions for the transportation of materials and personnel, ensuring that the transportation needs of large equipment and materials can be met.

The first phase of the project plans to build an energy storage system with a capacity of 75MW/150MWh, and reserves 75MW/150MWh space for energy storage system expansion in advance to prepare for the future needs of the second phase of the project. In terms of battery selection, the project uses 3.2V, 280Ah lithium iron phosphate battery, which is known for its high safety and long life. Each unit scheme is 3.44MW/6.88MWh, and 22 such energy storage units are configured in the entire phase I project energy storage station. The project will also build a new 220kV booster station, through which the energy storage system will use a 35kV collector line to connect to the 35kV bus, and boost through the 220kV main transformer, and finally send power through the overhead line.

The main objective of the project is to meet the high quality operation requirements of the 500,000 kW wind power project in Beligutai, Abaga Banner, Xi League. The construction of energy storage power stations will be able to balance the instability of wind power, ensure the continuity and stability of power supply, and improve the operational efficiency and quality of wind power projects. Energy storage technology is an important support for the development of renewable energy.
