On April 29, 2024, the lithium-ion battery recycling project of Gansu Jingyuan Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. held a grand groundbreaking ceremony in Yongchang Industrial Park, Gansu. The launch of this project marks a solid step for Gansu Province in the field of new energy, and is of great significance for promoting the green and circular development of the new energy industry.

It is understood that the Gansu Jingyuan Lithium ion Battery Recycling Project is jointly invested and constructed by Gansu Jingyuan Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. and China National Nuclear Corporation. The total investment amount is as high as 280 million yuan, covering an area of 80 acres. The project will construct an integrated production line for lithium battery pretreatment and recycling, and build a series of infrastructure including steel structure factory buildings, laboratories, laboratories, distribution rooms, Class A and C warehouses, control rooms, etc. At the same time, the project will also be equipped with related ancillary facilities such as fire protection, safety, and environmental protection to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the project.

The construction of the project will not only bring significant economic benefits, but is expected to achieve an annual sales revenue of 200 million yuan, an annual profit and tax of 25 million yuan, and the creation of more than 150 new employment positions. More importantly, it will contribute to the construction of a clean energy base in the Hexi Corridor and accelerate the overall layout of the new energy industry. By forming a closed-loop industrial chain for the recycling of waste batteries, this project will promote the recycling and utilization of new energy vehicles and power batteries, laying a solid foundation for building a national industrial base for the recycling and utilization of new energy vehicles and power batteries.
