The Henan Provincial Department of Transportation recently officially approved the construction drawing design of the main project along the Jiaozuo section of the Taihang Expressway, confirming that the design meets reasonable standards in terms of technology and economy and is complete in content.

The project along the Jiaozuo section of the Taihang Expressway is located in Jiaozuo City. The starting point is at the junction with Huixian City, Xinxiang City, along the Xinxiang section of the Taihang Expressway, and the end point is located in Cuizhuang South, Zhongzhan District, Jiaozuo City, and is under construction along the Taihang Expressway from Jiaozuo to Jiyuan section is connected. The total length of this section is 41.204 kilometers, of which the main line is 37.064 kilometers long and the Zhengyun Expressway contact line is 4.14 kilometers long.

The main line of the project is constructed using the technical standards of a two-way four-lane expressway, with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. The overall width of the roadbed is 26 meters, while the single width of the separated roadbed is 13 meters. In addition, a total of 26 new bridges will be built on the main line (excluding interchange areas), with a total length of 6935.56 meters, including 21 large bridges, 5 middle bridges, and 36 culverts.

It is worth mentioning that the project also involves the construction of three tunnels with a total length of 7861.5 meters. Among them, there is one extra-long tunnel with a length of 3682.5 meters and two long tunnels with a total length of 4179 meters.

According to the approval document, the budget for the construction drawings of the main project along the Jiaozuo section of the Taihang Expressway is approximately 5.457 billion yuan, of which construction and installation engineering costs account for the bulk, approximately 4.039 billion yuan. The construction of this important infrastructure will further improve the transportation accessibility of Jiaozuo City and surrounding areas, and promote regional economic and social development.Editor/Cheng Ting
