With the publication of the "New Tongren-Jishou Railway Environmental Impact Report (Draft for Comments)", a railway line connecting the shining pearls of Hunan and Guizhou is about to be unveiled. This Tongji Railway, known as the "most beautiful tourist railway", is not only a leap in transportation construction, but also a powerful engine for the development of regional economy and tourism.

Starting from Fenghuang Ancient City Station, winding forward, the Tongji Railway is not only a connection between stations, but also a scenic line showing the beautiful scenery of Hunan and Guizhou. The project has a total of 3 stations along the line passing through Fenghuang County and Bijiang District of Tongren City to Tongren Station. This is not only a geographical connection, but also a road for cultural and economic exchanges.

The main line of this project is 52.102 kilometers long, of which 33.158km is in Hunan Province and 18.944km is in Guizhou Province. It is a solid foundation laid by the Tongji Railway to promote regional development. From planning to construction, every link reflects the exquisiteness of modern engineering technology. The completion of this grand project will undoubtedly further improve the railway network in the central and western regions of my country.

The main line is laid with seamless lines across the section, and ballasted tracks are laid in general sections; the main line subgrade length is 8.425km, the bridge length is 24.039km, the tunnel length is 19.638km, and the bridge-tunnel ratio is 83.83%; and a new traction substation is built. The total construction period is 4 years.

During the construction process, environmental protection and ecological balance are placed in a crucial position. The report conducts a comprehensive assessment of the possible environmental impacts and proposes corresponding mitigation measures. This shows that while pursuing economic development, we are also committed to maintaining the harmonious rhythm of nature.

The completion of the Tongji Railway not only means convenient transportation, but more importantly, it will bring a steady stream of tourists and logistics to the areas along the line, greatly stimulating the development of local tourism and related industries.
