On June 27, 2024, the equipment donation and smart classroom unveiling ceremony for the Luban Workshop in Kyrgyzstan was held at the Kyrgyz National Technical University located in the capital city of Bishkek.
Kenjirbayeva, Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, thanked China for its strong support for the development of Kyrgyzstan's economy, society, and education in her speech. She stated that the Luban Workshop will not only cultivate high-quality talents for Kyrgyzstan, but also help Kyrgyzstan learn from China's advanced experience in science and education. The Kyrgyz side is willing to work with the Chinese side to build and operate the Luban Workshop, and help Kyrgyzstan and China jointly build the the Belt and Road.

Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Du Dewen, congratulated the successful unveiling of the Luban Workshop Smart Classroom and stated that establishing the Luban Workshop in Kyrgyzstan is an important measure to implement the consensus of the two heads of state and strengthen cooperation in cultural education between China and Kyrgyzstan, which will help cultivate modern professional and technical talents for Kyrgyzstan. Du Dewen hoped that Luban Workshop would give full play to its advantages and expertise, and make contributions to the construction of high-quality the Belt and Road and China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan railway and other major projects between the two countries.
Qiu Qiwen, member of the Standing Committee and Secretary General of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, said that the construction of the Luban Workshop fully leverages China's experience and advantages in water conservancy and hydropower, road and bridge engineering, and helps the National Technical University of Kyrgyzstan cultivate localized technical talents who master technology and are familiar with processes, meeting the talent needs of urgently needed related project construction.
