Wide space for green cooperation
Currently, Kazakhstan is making every effort to promote energy structure upgrading and ecological environment governance. More than 80% of the country's electricity supply relies on fossil fuels, and there is a high pressure on industrial pollutant emissions. There is an urgent need for the harmless treatment of waste and the supply of clean energy. At present, Kazakhstan has elevated the development of renewable energy to a national core strategy, and plans to increase the proportion of renewable energy generation to 15% by 2030. The Astana Ecological Park project is highly compatible with Kazakhstan's concept of green economic transformation and development. It can effectively solve the problem of urban waste disposal, fill the gap in clean energy supply, and continue to create employment opportunities, promoting the optimization of local industrial structure and diversified economic development.
