At 11:25 on July 1, 2024, accompanied by a crisp whistle, a China-Europe Express train loaded with home appliances, clothing, building materials and other goods slowly departed from Beijing Pinggu Local Railway Mafang Station and headed for Moscow. This marks that the China-Europe Express Train from Beijing to Europe has officially started the regular operation mode.
This China-Europe Express is called the Beijing-Pinggu Comprehensive Logistics Hub China-Europe Express (Beijing-Moscow), and the first train was sent out in March last year. On the basis of the trial operation, Pinggu District cooperated with Beijing Customs, China Railway Beijing Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and others to study the operation plan and fully prepare the source of goods. Starting from July 1 this year, the China-Europe Express will be operated regularly with a frequency of at least one train per month."The regular operation of this China-Europe train has opened up an international logistics channel for Beijing's foreign trade across the Eurasian continent, which will serve the capital's higher level of opening up to the outside world and help build a high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative." Tang Zhaohui, member of the Standing Committee of the Pinggu District Committee of Beijing and deputy district mayor, said.
Pinggu District is located in the northeast of Beijing and is given the functional positioning of "a comprehensive logistics port serving the capital". In recent years, Pinggu District has made every effort to plan and build the Beijing-Pinggu Comprehensive Logistics Hub, and domestic and foreign logistics leading enterprises have accelerated their gathering, and bulk commodities have accelerated their convergence.Editor/Zhao E
