In the early morning of April 16, with a long whistle blowing, the first China-Europe freight train departing from Beijing in 2025 slowly pulled out from the Jinyu Railway Special Line in Liulihe, Fangshan District, and set off towards Moscow, the capital of Russia. The smooth departure of this freight train not only marks the official operation of the China-Europe freight train from Beijing to Moscow in the new year, but also means that Fangshan District, for the first time as the starting station of the China-Europe freight train, has successfully become an important hub in international logistics transportation.

It is reported that this China-Europe freight train full of hope is loaded with a variety of export goods such as home appliances, tires, and non-woven fabrics. In 90 standard containers, more than 450 tons of goods are ready to be transported, with a total value of more than 4.9 million yuan. It will leave the country through the Manzhouli Port, and travel across the vast Siberian Plain all the way. Along the way, the goods will be distributed to cities such as Novosibirsk and Ulyanovsk. The journey of nearly 9,000 kilometers is expected to be completed in about 16 days. The planning of this transportation route has greatly shortened the logistics time between North China in China and the central and western cities of Russia, injecting new vitality into the economic and trade exchanges along the route.

"We will take this inaugural freight train as an opportunity to accelerate the regular operation of China-Europe freight trains departing from Fangshan." Wang Chuanmeng, Chairman of Beijing New Land Port Group, said confidently at the departure ceremony. In fact, for Beijing New Land Port Supply Chain Co., Ltd., the operation of this China-Europe freight train is already its "third consecutive victory" in Fangshan District. As early as March 19 this year, the first China-Central Asia freight train departing from Beijing had been successfully dispatched from Fangshan District; on April 7, the China-Central Asia freight train departing from Beijing achieved regular operation. Now, with the addition of the China-Europe freight train, Fangshan District has officially established an international freight train channel with the parallel operation of the "China-Europe + China-Central Asia" routes, adding a remarkable touch to Beijing on the map of the Belt and Road Initiative.

"The China-Europe freight train is not only a logistics channel connecting China and Europe, but also a golden link that connects the economic development of the countries along the route." Liu Shouzhi, Manager of the Logistics Dispatching Department of the Beijing Railway Logistics Center of the China Railway Beijing Bureau, emphasized. To ensure the safe and efficient operation of this China-Europe freight train, the China Railway Beijing Bureau made careful arrangements and dispatched experienced professional and technical personnel to the site to provide full-process business guidance. In terms of transportation arrangements, the principle of "five priorities" was strictly implemented, that is, giving priority to formulating transportation plans, allocating empty vehicles, organizing loading, arranging for shipment, and releasing the train, to ensure that every link is closely connected and operates efficiently, and to provide a solid transportation guarantee for the smooth departure of the freight train.
