[The highest lifting height offshore wind power installation platform in China] On August 28th, the self propelled and self elevating offshore wind power installation platform "Ganghang Ping5" with the highest lifting height, strongest comprehensive lifting capacity, and longest lifting pile legs in China was successfully delivered at Qingdao Haixi Heavy Machinery Terminal. The "Ganghang Ping5" ship is 135 meters long and 50 meters wide, with an empty weight of approximately 29000 tons, a maximum lifting capacity of 1800 tons, a maximum operating water depth of over 70 meters, and a lifting height of 168 meters above deck. The length of the lifting system's pile legs is 135 meters, and the lifting height above the water surface of the crane exceeds 200 meters, once again breaking the domestic record for lifting height of similar platforms. This ship is also the first wind power installation platform in China to be equipped with an intelligent ship system. It has the functions of route and speed design and optimization, intelligent energy efficiency management, and intelligent integration platform. It can achieve comprehensive monitoring and intelligent management of the ship, meet the living needs of 120 people at sea, and improve the efficiency of wind turbine installation by about 20%. The wind solar complementary green energy system carried can provide sufficient living electricity for the platform. This round can meet the construction requirements of the world's largest 26 MW and above wind turbines, with integrated operation of wind turbine transportation, storage, installation, and unlimited navigation area navigation capability. After delivery, construction operations can be carried out in deep sea areas. Editor/Zhou Yingwen

  • [Qiongzhou Strait transportation new energy vehicle ship successfully docked]
  • On the afternoon of October 8th, under the on-site escort of the Guangdong Zhanjiang Maritime Bureau's "Haixun 0927" ship, the first flatbed cargo ship dedicated to the transportation of new energy vehicles in the Qiongzhou Strait, the "Green Source No. 1" ship, slowly entered the Xuwen Hai'an New Port, marking the successful trial operation of the ship's roll on/roll off transport route in the Qiongzhou Strait. It is reported that the deck cargo ship "Green Source No.1" has a total tonnage of 6731, a net tonnage of 3769, a length of 125.8 meters, and a width of 28 meters. The ship adopts a single-layer deck design, which can carry more than 160 new energy vehicles on a single voyage under full load conditions. The parking capacity is about 60% higher than that of existing passenger and roll on/roll off transport ships. The ship is planned to be deployed on the route from Hai'an New Port in Zhanjiang to Xiuying Port in Haikou. After being put into operation, it will add a new mode of sea transportation for new energy vehicles in the Qiongzhou Strait and effectively alleviate the tense situation of insufficient capacity for new energy vehicle transportation during the peak period of cross sea vehicle transportation in the Qiongzhou Strait. • [Malaysia's energy transition has made progress]
  • On October 9, 2024, Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Fadhila stated that Malaysia has made progress in improving energy efficiency and that "energy conservation" has become the key to energy transition. Meanwhile, Malaysia will promote the ASEAN power grid as a key topic of discussion at the ASEAN Energy Ministers' Meeting. At the 2024 Asia Power and Energy Exhibition, which opened on the 8th, Fadhila revealed that as of June, Malaysia has saved 8769 gigawatt hours of electricity, worth over 2.2 billion ringgit, and plans to reduce 38 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions by 2025. In addition, the Malaysian government has approved the establishment of an energy exchange aimed at selling green electricity to neighboring countries. As the rotating chair of ASEAN in 2025, Malaysia will promote the construction of the ASEAN power grid to promote the promotion of renewable energy and enhance the resilience and reliability of electricity supply in ASEAN member countries.
