On September 1st, Mongolian Daily News reported that the Mongolian government has submitted to the Great Hural (Parliament) the "2025 Mongolian Budget", "2025 National Wealth Fund Budget", "2025 Social Security Fund Budget", "2025 Medical Insurance Fund Budget" and other relevant draft laws, aiming to launch large-scale construction projects, reduce direct government intervention, and provide support for the private sector.
According to the proposal, it is planned to raise 2.041 billion US dollars through channels such as the national budget, foreign loans, and aid, and initiate the implementation of regional development policies and the "2024-2028 Government Action Plan" related to transportation, energy, and infrastructure construction projects. Among them, transportation projects account for 24%, about 473 million US dollars; The energy sector accounts for 8%, approximately 177 million US dollars; Engineering infrastructure occupies 11%, approximately 207 million US dollars. We plan to invest 62.1142 million US dollars to build a one-stop government service complex, 59.748 million US dollars to build a deep-water treatment and wastewater recovery plant for the Ulaanbaatar Urban Water Source Protection Project funded by the US Millennium Challenge Fund, and 23.6626 million US dollars to build the Ulaanbaatar Central Clean Factory.
Resolve the costs required for infrastructure construction in the "Huxi Valley New Zongmod City" and the feasibility study and design of the 500000 resident project in "New Hara and Lin City" to effectively alleviate the problems of excessive concentration and traffic congestion in the capital. We plan to launch the construction project of the "Fifth Ring" regional development road that connects inter provincial, provincial capital, and border ports, in order to promote the circular development of the regional economy. By 2025, it is planned to construct 2120.9 kilometers of highways, including 1079.7 kilometers of inter provincial highways, 708.6 kilometers of highways from the provincial government to border ports, and 332.6 kilometers of tourist highways. Keywords: the Belt and Road news, the Belt and Road project, overseas project。
By initiating and implementing the above-mentioned construction projects, we will eliminate the constraints that hinder economic development, increase domestic and foreign investment in local areas, significantly improve the business environment and people's quality of life, and lay a solid foundation for Mongolia's economic and social development.
